Comau + SISCODATA for GOGLIO (case008)
Extreme automation applied to flexible packaging
Our approach
Siscodata, in collaboration with Comau, designed a robotic island made up of four Comau NS-16 articulated robots (16kg payload and 1.65m reach) and two Comau NJ-40 robots (40kg payload and 2.5m reach) which fold bags transversally and put them into boxes.
6 robots, 3 steps
The robots are positioned on a steel base and are connected to the case erector (which forms boxes equipped with an internal aseptic container) and a taping machine.
The four folding robots are equipped with a special gripper and synchronized motion control to collect the bags that have been laid on an inlet conveyor.
The latter robot also features a stacking machine and an aligner unit for the spouts, which are assembled on the bags before the folding process.
